Obsidian Slate Pad
The Obsidian Slate Pad is a deep, architectural surface for monochrome desks. Subtle graphite veining gives the charcoal finish the character of volcanic stone, while the smooth top layer keeps movement controlled for design work, productivity and gaming.
A considered mouse pad should do more than create a place for a sensor to move. It should help define the visual centre of the desk, soften the relationship between hard equipment and the hand, and make a daily work ritual feel more deliberate. This piece was developed as part of the CVNGHFX™ approach to quiet, useful objects with a distinctive point of view.
A surface with a point of view.
This dark mineral-effect mouse pad is finished in charcoal black / graphite and shaped as a volcanic slate-inspired finish. It is made for desks that value proportion, atmosphere and everyday comfort. The coordinated visual direction is black stone, smoked glass and a single directional light, creating an easy starting point for product photography and collection styling.
The story behind the product is intentionally simple: a useful surface, a more thoughtful proportion and a finish that belongs in the room. Whether placed beside a compact laptop, a full keyboard or a carefully arranged creative setup, the design is meant to feel settled from the first day rather than temporary or generic.

Charcoal Black / Graphite
Designed around the daily ritual
- Tactile material-inspired finish
- Controlled low-noise glide
- Stable anti-slip underside
- Designed for calm, layered interiors
The design is intentionally quiet: no printed slogans, no unnecessary visual noise and no aggressive branding. Every detail is intended to sit naturally beside a keyboard, monitor, notebook and the objects that make a desk feel personal.
Use it for a first coffee and a quick inbox check, a long afternoon of editing, a late-night study session or a focused gaming block. The surface is designed to transition easily between these moments, keeping the desk comfortable and visually composed throughout the day.
Details & care
Place the mouse pad on a clean, dry and level surface. Wipe gently with a soft slightly damp cloth and allow it to dry naturally. Avoid harsh solvents, prolonged direct heat and sharp objects. Roll or lay flat when storing according to the shape of the design.
For the best visual result, pair the pad with one or two complementary materials rather than a crowded arrangement. Natural wood, stone, brushed metal, linen, leather and frosted acrylic can all reinforce the intended mood. Allow the colour story to remain visible around the product so the shape continues to read clearly in photography and on the product page.
